Roe Deer Hunting in the Gers
Roe Deer Stalking
The South-West and in particular the Gers are renowned for the quality of their roe deer. Roe deer find a rich and diverse biotope there. Our hunting grounds are located in the Gers, but also in the Pyrénées Atlantiques. We choose hilly areas, where it is possible to observe and identify animals from afar, and to approach them in the best conditions. We have around a hundred open areas with surface areas ranging from 500 to 5000 hectares, made up of hillsides and wooded hills, interspersed with meadows, cereal crops and hedges.
Roe Deer Stalking in Gascony
The hunt is conducted under the guidance of the guide, whose approval must be obtained before any shot is taken. The hunting area is explored mainly on foot in order to observe numerous roe deer and select the animal to be harvested. It is generally possible to have at least one shooting opportunity per outing on an adult roebuck.
A typical day's hunting for red deer lasts 6 hours, with one outing in the morning and one in the evening.

We also offer summer buck hunting in pairs, i.e. 2 hunters/1 guide. This formula allows one of the hunters to go alone in “free hunting” under the responsibility of the guide after having delimited the hunting area.
Trophies
Les trophées rencontrés peuvent être très bons, c’est pourquoi les brocards de 350 grammes sont fréquents. Nous prélevons chaque saison plusieurs sujets atteignant les 500 grammes, voire plus. Cependant, ces derniers représentent environ 15% des brocards prélevés.
As for the rating of the trophies, an estimate will be made on site, however it is only after official rating in CIC points that the trophy will be approved.
Management
Les territoires que nous mettons à votre disposition sont en grande majorité gérés par nos soins et ce depuis de nombreuses années. Sur certains d’entre eux nous avons la gestion exclusive du plan de chasse et de ce fait les brocards adulte sont épargnés notamment lors des battues d’hiver et le tir des brocards ne représentent que 10 à 15 % maximum de l’ensemble des prélèvements. De ce fait nous retrouvons chaque saison sur nos zones de magnifiques sujets.
